Maintenance Mechanic / Maintenance Technician

Direct Hire / Permanent Maintenance Mechanic position open with top food manufacturing company in Chicago, Illinois.
If you have experience working as a Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic or a similar type of industrial maintenance role, this could be a great job match for you.

Hiring for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production and plant equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment
  • Lubricate the production equipment on a daily basis
  • Replace broken belts, bearings, motors, electrical systems on the production equipment as necessary
  • Monitor and correct the oil levels and oil condition on the production equipment on a weekly basis
  • Calibrate production equipment to ensure that all parts are running in synch
  • Build machine modifications or system improvements as requested by management
  • Perform related duties as assigned
  • Keep area clean
  • Follow all safety rules
  • Always use proper PPE’s
Required Experience
  • 1 year on the job training by other maintenance mechanics
  • Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
