Production Support - Day Shift

Title:  Production Support (Day Shift)

Location: Bensenville, IL


Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of the daily production in assigned areas
  • Guaranteeing accuracy of data by making corrections to any inaccurate data
  • Simplifying engineering and shop floor coordination - liaison between the two:
    • Operates as a hybrid between the two functions to provide an additional level of clarity to job requirements or work instructions to production, acting as a liaison to production staff of the proposed strategy
  • Maintaining and endorsing LEAN principles. Supporting continuous improvement, adding customer value, and reducing waste/ costs.
  • Managing daily schedule board and other visual management systems
  • Assuring that all team members have appropriate tools, fixtures, and manufacturing supplies to meet customer quality necessities
  • Coordinating with shipping in support
  • Coordinating with purchasing to confirm supplies, materials, etc. for production schedules and job requirements
  • good people skills
  • Convey awareness of problems within the team to the leader
  • Resolve problems in an effort to maintain production
  • Assign work to members within the team
  • Work with inspection and team members to make adjustments to parts so that they meet requirements
Qualifications:
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and prioritize
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Processes
  • Blueprint reading highly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to operate forklift
  • 1st Shift - Day Shift
