We are looking for a dynamic, organized and self-starter engineer to join our Power Systems & Controls Development (PS&CD) team in Mossville, IL.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will serve as an individual contributor on complex and exciting projects that will support Advanced Power Products (APP). You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and documenting standard technical test instructions used in validation and development of batteries, inverters, fuel cells and hybrid energy systems. Day to day work will involve converting test plan to test instructions, executing the tests in the lab, analyzing the data, and evaluating the performance against success criteria which will ultimately be used in making product decisions.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate single line diagrams for various devices under test ranging from battery systems to fuel cells.

You will also be responsible for leading BIQ projects related to APP testing. You will have an opportunity of hands-on experience to interact and setup variety of data acquisition systems in lab environment.

APP development and testing work is dynamic, fast paced with opportunities to grow and develop.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited curriculum with focus on power electronics, batteries, or fuel cells.
  • Technical knowledge
  • Experience or understanding of electrification product testing and data analysis
  • Experience or knowledge of communication networks like CAN, J1939, TCP/IP over ethernet.
  • Coursework and interest in emerging battery and power electronics technology
  • Experience or understanding of product development principles
  • Strong communication skills – Oral and written
  • Proficiency with MS office

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • 2+ years of relevant industry or academic experience with focus on power electronics and batteries
  • The ability to work/lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions
  • Low voltage device controls troubleshooting experience
