Position Summary

Company is seeking an IT Security Manager for IT department located in Novi, Michigan, reporting directly to the IT Assistant General Manager. The IT Security Manager will be responsible for improving and maturing the IT process for regulatory and general controls and support efforts to ensure Company IT is always compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews cybersecurity and risk standards, evaluates compliance gaps and implements required security remediation.
  • Prepares monthly KPI reports and present them to Company management team.
  • Provides appropriate information share and updates with senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Provides root cause analysis and conclusion on cybersecurity and risk issues.
  • Be responsible and proactive with new controls and lead projects related to compliance or governance activities.
  • Guides application teams on best practices throughout all development and testing phases.
  • Develops, coordinates, and delivers training to Company end-user community.
  • Works with members of technology solution center, infrastructure, and internal audit teams to implement, maintain and troubleshoot.
  • Monitors and reviews changes and documentation updates for accuracy, currency, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assists in managing control automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with change control procedures and policies; evaluate and participate in meeting requirements for re-validation.
  • Participates in the change management process, ensuring that all releases are compliant with IT general controls and enterprise standards.
  • Responsible for the vulnerability scans report, coordinating and monitoring progress with IT infrastructure in patch management.
  • Partners with IT team to build and maintain regularity compliance evidence and reporting required by Internal Audit and external auditors.
  • Works with internal and external auditing team to deliver required regularity compliance evidence, reporting, and answer questions needed to complete audits promptly.
  • Develops and maintain IT policies and procedures on a predetermined schedule.
  • Assists with IT and cybersecurity budget development and tracking.
  • Mentors junior members of the team and assist with skill development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer science or equivalent years of related experience).
  • Excellent communication skills and good attitude.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task projects (basic troubleshooting of various applications, willing to learn Company proprietary systems).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Certification Requirements: N/A
  • Previous Experience: Minimum of 5 years compliance experience. Automotive experience desirable.
  • Travel Requirements:  10-15% domestic travel to other plants
  • On Call Requirements: N/A
  • Physical Requirements: [i.e., Office position – primarily sedentary]. Must be able to move equipment up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an individual with a disability to perform the essential job functions.
