We are currently seeking a Sr. Controls Engineer for Company located in Marion, AR reporting directly to Engineering Manager. This individual will be responsible for Assisting Maintenance in Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvements.
Compensation to commensurate with experience applicable to position requirements
Responsibilities:
Assists in the design and building of tools and equipment or recommends improvements to existing processes
Enforces safe work practices as the highest priority and implements objectives for ergonomics, health/safety and housekeeping
Maintains good working relationships with peers, hourly employees, management, supplier community and interfaces with necessary support functions outside of the plant
Provides technical support and direction to other department and controls engineers, IT and support personnel/skilled trades;
Assists maintenance personnel in operation and maintenance of specialized equipment Investigates and root cause system and equipment problems and provides technical input on problem resolution;
Coordinates and communicates the development of changes to improve conditions for manufacturing processes
Coordinates with area manufacturing engineers on process and equipment planning, including model change, throughput, sourcing, etc.
Develop cost estimates, investment forecasts, business cases, appropriation requests and plans for project activity;
Develops and monitors planning timetables and projects schedules
Programming of manufacturing technology
Analyzes product, process and technology to determine the best methods of manufacture
Requirements:
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (heavily focused on Excel and PowerPoint)
Strong technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and the ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in PLC and HMI programming
Knowledge of servo motors, motion control and drives.
Experience in Fanuc robots setup and programming.
Demonstrated understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience. Automotive experience highly desirable. Strong background in Mitsubishi PLC for troubleshooting and creating new logic steps.
Education:
Bachelor's degree with major in engineering and equivalent experience/training
