The Product Development Manager will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) when it comes to Company products. They will have a good knowledge of how the product is designed, developed, and tested. They will understand the overall product performance envelope. They will have a good understanding of how the product is manufactured. They not only understand the product market, but they also know how to acquire market intelligence when it comes to our competitors and life cycle of the products. They work cross-functionally with our sales and marketing, internal engineers, and customer engineers to properly qualify and competitively cost our products. They are the glue between the customers’ engineers, Company engineers and our sales department when it comes to collaborative selling. They lead cross-functional meetings to develop Scope of Work agreements for opportunities. They spearhead new product introductions internally and externally using their technical and communication skills. They understand our competitors’ weaknesses and strengths to be able to leverage Company’s position in the market place.

Product Collateral Creation such as website, trade shows and product selection software
Product Specific Sales Training for both internal and external
Understands technical sales
Help manage, prioritize, and report on sales opportunity projects
Manage timely completion and cost of NPD projects, GAPs, and Applied
Approximately 25% travel required.
Qualifications:
BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC business or related field
Experience with product group management
Experience in managing projects and programs in the HVAC or related sector
Familiarity with New Product Development (NPD) process
Experience in managing cross-functional teams to generate compelling customer value propositions for engineered products
Assertive leader with an ability to influence across functional organizations
Knowledge and understanding of technically competitive product
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Excellent computer skills.
