What we are looking for: We are seeking a graphic designer motivated to assist and support our team in the growth of our business. A designer that is full of curiosity, passion, and creative drive that is ready to be part of a collaborative team. As a member of the marketing team, the work is multidisciplinary. The graphic designer’s main responsibility is to provide creative graphic design and technical production support for the Marketing, Business Development, and Design Teams to help enhance collateral and elevate client proposals. As the brand steward of the organization, their contribution to the process will provide potential and existing customers with great visual content that highlights and enhances presentation of product solutions being offered. On any given day, the Graphic Designer may be required to tackle brand strategy, digital, social and print ad campaigns, product launches, video conception, etc. Graphic designer must be able to manage multiple opportunities within defined timelines. To excel in this role, you must enjoy working in a fast paced environment and have excellent people skills. This process will require the execution of several tasks and services listed below.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Translate top level, large scale marketing concepts and initiatives into tangible deliverables.
Apply designs and production layouts as required for print, digital, web, and social outreach.
Collaborate on digital and social campaign strategies
Collaborate and create monthly social and digital outreach
Maintain and develop content for organic social media accounts on a weekly basis
Proper submission of all print and digital deliverables per calendar requirements.
Design and execute collateral for campaigns to build brand awareness and highlight new product releases.
Provide production support as needed for Business Development collateral requirements.
Accurately represent finishes, materials and design details of all offered fixture collections
Establish and maintain vendors and standards for outsourcing print production needs when OPTO’s internal capabilities cannot support.
Create brand and/or lifestyle imagery for use in client presentations, print ads, catalogs, product development promotion, Tradeshows, Showroom Displays, OPTO website, Internal Communications, and Social channels
Demonstrate proficiency in email and website layout best practices
Technically savvy - proficient in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Power Point is a must. AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
Knowledge of, or aptitude to learn, third-party design interfaces (Pardot or other email builder, FlippingBook, etc.)
Working knowledge of all major social media platforms
PPC asset management and setup a plus
Photography, videography and art direction skills a plus
Video editing a plus
Digital asset management skills a must
Detail Orientated; ability to multi task and still maintain a sharp eye for detail
Strong Organizational Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate quickly and effectively
Ability to prioritize and manage workload; Ability to work independently and part of a team
Demonstrate willingness to continually learn about the retail industry to help OPTO grow
