Title: Mechanical Structural Plant Engineer
Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (TBC)
Job Description:
- Responsible for the structural design of the product/subsystem/module
- Help define concepts for modularization of the mechanical implementation of the process design of the product/subsystem/module.
- Select and define structural components that make out the skid/frame of the product/subsystem/module.
- Experience with simulation tools such as Ansys or any other structural design software is an advantage.
- Experience with design calculations for structural design of equipment.
- Experience of design with ladders, Rails, Industrial Buildings.
- Design Skid, packages – Apply CWB standards,
- Rules for Ladders, Gangways, Industrial buildings, experience on design of steel structures, like cranes, industrial buildings, Plant Design Structural Elements
- Experience with structural design of gantry, cranes and skid mounted equipment is a bonus.
- Create clear and well-defined work packages for the India based CAD team (modeling / drafting) and follow up.
- Approve models, drawings, and other technical definition documentation.
- Report to the product/subsystem/module design team leadership as well as the mechanical design manager
Qualifications:
- BS Degree or MS Degree
- Minimum 10 years in mechanical design of which 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role on structural plant design.
- Able to read and understand a P&ID
- EPC background, preferably in Hydrogen, Oxygen service, Oil & Gas, Offshore equipment
- Able to steer a global team of designers / drafter located in India, Canada, Belgium, ...
- Familiarity with mechanical design of high voltage / high current electrical systems is a bonus
- Experience with PTC Creo CAD platform is preferred
