Job Title: Product Design Engineer - Intermediate - 870
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan

Pay Range: $39-$42.97/hr

Description:

The Product Design Engineer – Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Responsible for creating/developing Mopar Accessories and Service parts using NX
• Managing data using Teamcenter
• Creating concepts in 3D and presenting proposals to various internal/external teams 
• Self starter and highly motivated
• Ensures projects are completed on time
• Lead design requirement reviews and help in organizing data
• Experience working on exterior, interior, chassis and electrical products
• Collaboration amongst various engineering groups is essential
• Communicates project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues
Requirements:

• NX – minimum 3+ years experience
• Proficiency in Teamcenter
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
• 3D modeling – ability to create/modify data 
• Create packaging studies to ensure proper fit, form & function
• Familiar with different manufacturing processes (injection molds, stampings, break forming) 
• 2D drawing creation with GD&T 
• Strong verbal and written communications skills including interpersonal relationship building
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with creative thinking and problem resolution skills 
• Transferring of data between internal and external teams 
• Adept at multi-tasking with organization and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and proven ability to meet deadlines

Additional Information / Must Have's:

•  Will this position be required to drive a company vehicle during the assignment? -  *It’s not a requirement but on rare occasions it may be necessary.

NX, Teamcenter, 3D modeling, packaging studies, ability to multitask
3+ years product design experience
Onsite/ Remote Hybrid – mostly remote with occasional onsite
