The engineer is the point of contact for technical benchmarking requests received from a stakeholder related to PFDI and EE systems of competitive vehicles.
For any Technical Benchmarking subject, main activities are:
• Participation with the global benchmarking Technical Unit: attend virtual meetings with the responsibility to propose new activities, provide status of ongoing projects, and to collect new requests.
Virtual data collection: gathers, compiles, and analyzes technical data of competitive vehicle systems and components from multiple data sources while ensuring data robustness and accuracy.
Technical target studies: completion of studies including, but not limited to, competitor system/component archetypes, value optimization opportunities, standardization analysis, electrification strategy, new technologies, and feature analysis. Assessments between corporate and competitive vehicles to drive new design solutions in support of future product development plans.
• Communication: manage the ongoing communication of study results with the requestor, other organizations that could take advantage of the study, and benchmarking colleagues in the other regions.
