CAE Engineer role in Windsor, Ontario. CAE Engineer responsibilities include creating full vehicle crash finite element models using ANSA and performing analyses using LS-DYNA software to assess vehicle crashworthiness based on regulatory and third party assessment criteria. The CAE Engineer will also analyze results to develop design solutions to meet vehicle safety requirements and will communicate and present analysis results to various engineering organizations. Responsible for the computer aided engineering activity for vehicle programs and planning and execution of the durability CAE tasks.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 3 years of CAE durability analysis experience in the automotive industry.
Understanding of solid mechanics, durability/fatigue, vibration and dynamics.
Demonstrated experience and expertise using CAE software including ABAQUS, FEMFAT or nCode, ANSA, Hypermesh, Optistruct etc.
Good knowledge of computer simulation, numerical methods and FEA theory.
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to travel to the US for meetings.
Preferred Requirements:
Strong expertise in using ABAQUS and fatigue software.
Good knowledge of structural dynamics.
Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20 percent of the time.
