Company is seeking an experienced CAD-CAM Programmer with a desire to help us develop and define this role in our growing organization. With this being a new role for Company, the applicant will come prepared to develop and define this role in our growing team. The perfect candidate will understand the production process from start to finish.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be experienced with doing setups and programming
Use data supplied by engineering
Choose proper cutters and drills based on the parameters of each specific job
Observe the progress of machining and watch for errors; inspect finished work for accuracy
Work with engineering to develop specialized procedures for non-routine jobs
Develop role within the company
Qualifications
2-5 years’ experience with CAD-CAM programming
Able to set up and implement the CAD-CAM system as well as Mazak CNC Lathe and mills from design to implementation
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Able to work closely with engineering and machinists and maintain ongoing communications

Technical and Design Skills: Ability to read blueprints, drawings and models, and analyze such plans for proper use; familiarity with design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
Attention to Detail: the ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved. Operating the Manual Lathe requires constant management of minute details; small errors can be extremely costly, both in money and time, and across multiple departments
Organization: Strong ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task; the Material Handler/Stockroom Assistant will juggle multiple tasks and work areas simultaneously, and meticulous organization is essential
Computer Skills: Ability to navigate and use a desktop computer, including internet browsers, email and word processing
