Purchasing Project Manager
Location: Peoria, Illinois

You will love working as a Purchasing Project Manager in Peoria, Illinois.
In this exciting Purchasing Project Manager role in Peoria, Illinois, you will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities in such fields as egineering, research and development, financial systenms and product roll-out for any other non-IT based project.
The main focus of this role will be on sourcing and resourcing iron castings and machined iron castings from quote to production.
What you’ll be doing:
  • You will be responsible for managing sourcing and source moves for complex iron castings and machined iron castings.
  • You will be responsible for quoting, analyzing quote analysis for best TCO Total Cost of Ownership, managing source moves from current to new supplier, monitoring buffer inventory, managing tool moves associated with source change, working closely with Category Buyer, Supplier Development Engineer, Design Engineers to ensure all requirements for quality, volume and supplier readiness are met, preparing and presenting to Project Stakeholders.
  • This job role responsibility includes scope from quote to production.

Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have strong purchasing, business acumen, presentation and computer skills.
  • Experience in purchasing business acumen and global team coordination,  casting, machining, engineering, project management, new product introduction, supply chain, supplier management, quality engineering will all be beneficial.

Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data.
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Basic mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Ability to evaluate suppliers.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, database management, Power BI and or Tableau experience will be beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 5 years of experience required in any of the following: Purchasing, Machining, Engineering, Project Management, New Product Introduction, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Quality.
