Mechanical Drafter Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
You will love working as a Mechanical Drafter in Rapid City, South Dakota.
What you’ll be doing:
You will create and / or modify 3D models and engineering drawings in conformance to company engineering standards for use in manufacturing.
You will ensure engineering change documentation conforms to Caterpillar engineering standards and specifications.
You will assist engineers in troubleshooting designs.
You will interface with engineers and peers as necessary to ensure all facets of project’s scope are met.
You will complete projects in a timely manner to meet customer due dates.
You will communicate with the Team Lead daily on project status, delays and issues encountered.
Qualifications:
2 year technical school degree in computer aided drafting program or other related manufacturing discipline (machining, welding etc.) OR 2+ years of equivalent experience.
Proficient in the use of 3D parametic modeling and drafting software such as Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks or Cre.
Print reading experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Onenote, Teams, SharePoint.
