Calibration Dataset Engineer Location: Windsor, Ontario Remote role with occasional travel to the US (1 to 2 meetings per week)
You will love working as a Calibration Dataset Engineer in Windsor, Ontario. This is an onsite role. In this exciting Calibration Dataset / Calibration Manager role, you will be responsible for managing all hybrid and engine controller calibration datasets to support vehicle development, milestones and vehicle manufacturing. You will build development calibrations regularly for powertrain calibration teams to test during their development while thoroughly documenting calibration changes and conducting calibration comparisons. You will support vehicle data capture and conduct calibration comparisons.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related degree.
1 to 3 years of professional experience in the automotive industry or in a similar industry related to embedded control systems.
Ability to learn quickly and utilize Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, OneNote etc. effectively.
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to balance work effectively on multiple issues.
Action a discipline test plan and verification process to ensure quality calibrations are released.
Strong knowledge of the powertrain system.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of propulsion systems including hybrids.
Knowledge of calibration of engine, transmission or hybrid propulsion systems.
Knowledge of software development and releasing.
