Title: B2B Account Manager

Location: Bensenville, IL
  • Maintains and develops relationships with assigned customer accounts and builds across multi-levels of customer organizations
  • Responsible for developing an understanding of top customers’ decision-making environments and strategies
  • Responsible for closing business with existing accounts within ideal company guidelines, which is characterized as “right customer, right work and right time”, per business plan targets
  • Manages overall quoting and negotiation processes in coordination with Production, Project Engineering, and analysis of customer information
  • Responsible for targeted prospecting that meets the criteria of “right customer, right work, right time”
  • Positions “value” to prospective or targeted accounts as a driver of competitive advantage
  • Responsible for achieving territory management objectives and standards, and maintaining a regular presence as established per account in support of acting as the face of the company
  • Engages fellow Value Stream Team members to assist in new or existing accounts - pricing, technical support, project kick off meetings and optimal contract terms
  • Responsible for customer communications related to delivery and quality issues, and acts as a back up to Project Engineering as needed, including leading production meetings for more strategic accounts
  • Responsible for acquiring and sharing market and competitive information, including industry and market trends, and competitive positioning
  • Responsible for employing a working knowledge of company capabilities and services, and the company’s value proposition
  • Acts as the customer’s “Voice” to the Value Stream Teams to ensure real/priority customer needs are communicated and accounted for in production decision making
  • Oversees total account management data and company systems including customer-specific data and sales records
  • BS in Business, Marketing
  • 1+ years’ experience (Max 5 years of experience) in Business-to-Business Selling within the industries of Fabrication and/or Machining: expertise in relationship and consultative selling
